Jones Tech is a technology consultancy based in Hong Kong, serving clients globally.
We're small on purpose. The person you speak to first is the person who does the work, sits in your stand-ups and reads your code. There's no account team and no handover to juniors.
Most engagements begin at the point where a product is working but the technology behind it needs a plan: before a raise, ahead of a first senior hire, or when an early build has to grow up. We stay as long as we're useful, and we aim to leave your own team able to carry on without us.
About me
Rich Jones, founder
I'm an engineer first. I've spent more than twenty years building software by hand, and I still do.
My work has centered on platforms with a lot of moving parts: marketplaces serving several kinds of customer at once, the permissioning that decides what each of them can access, and the billing that turns usage into revenue.
I've led technology at companies including Octus (formerly Reorg), Oli, Cognitive Humanity, Pica9 and Civicly Envolved. I'm based in Hong Kong and work with clients around the world.
